At Baltimore Apartments, we understand the importance of education in today's
society. Parents want nothing more than to place their children in schools where
they know their children will be in good hands. Especially when moving to a new
area, parents want to make sure that there are appropriate schools nearby.
Researching specific needs and wants for their children's education is the first
step that any moving parent should take. A simple phone call to the school's
district will answer most of your questions, but not all. Some cases may require
a visit to a counselor who is more than willing to help a parent find the right
education and school for their kids. The internet is also a very useful source
for information regarding ANYTHING related to your child's education. Here are
links to the Baltimore public schools websites, as well as a link the Maryland
State Department of Education.

Big in Impact and Opportunity
As one of the 25 largest school systems in the nation, Baltimore County
Public Schools (BCPS) graduates nearly 7,500 students each year. These
individuals have significant impact on our community and in our nation. We take
seriously our responsibility for educating these future leaders and citizens.
Our diverse community adds unique depth to classroom and school experiences.
BCPS provides students and staff with an array of opportunities for learning and
growth. Our schools range in size and settings - from suburban to rural.
Neighborhood-based schools strengthen and unite communities. Magnet programs and
smaller learning groups allow students and teachers to focus on areas of
interest.
Our investment in our learning communities is also significant. Since 1999, BCPS
has been engaged in the largest school renovation and major maintenance program
in Baltimore County's history - a five-year, half-billion dollar program that
will bring physical improvements to nearly every one of the county's 162 public
schools.
Finally, meaningful connections with our community number in the tens of
thousands through volunteers, school business partners, advisory boards, and
parent association members - all working to support BCPS in better preparing our
youth for the future. |
